My writing started where so many others did: fanfiction (a hobby I keep up to this day). I saw little point in writing if no one would read it, but fanfiction virtually guaranteed an audience and allowed me to create more content for characters I already knew I liked. Delving into original endeavors has been more difficult, but there is something rewarding about being able to make stories that are wholly my own.

All forms of engagement are appreciated of course, but I'll admit that I'm inordinately fond of comments. View count numbers just don't compare to words of encouragement or polite critique.
